Global Recording Artist Ari Gold For Iline For Men.

We workout for our muscles, we eat for energy, sleep for revitalization, and study to sharpen our minds. But when it comes to skin care, we need all the above plus a little extra help.
With us is Irwin Rappaport, president and founder of I Line for Men, to answer the questions AMM has. But he's not alone. We are glad to have I Line for Men spokes model and singer/songwriter/producer Ari Gold with us as well.
AMM - How did you decide on the name I Line for your products?
Irwin - The name I Line is actually a double-entendre. I wanted to use a name that encompasses the true character of myself and my line! The initial"I" is for my name Irwin... Which is why my signature logo has a larger italic i to stand out from the Line. But this is pronounced "Eye Line" which is the way most people think it is spelled. As a make-up artist, the essence of the person comes through the eyes...whether with that touch of drama or a natural, subtle look. It is said "the eyes are the window to the soul", and I always create uniquely artistic eyes with all my models!
AMM - What type of criticism have you faced while producing cosmetics for Men?
Irwin - I really haven't faced much criticism because most men are coming up to me and letting me know how great it is that I have come out with a Line specifically designed to support the special needs of enhancing men's appearances...which results in quality grooming, renewed and healthy skin. Especially in this day and age...men of all backgrounds are becoming comfortable with helping their skin look and feel clean, revitalized and youthful!

AMM - How do you handel the testing of your products before it's available for purchase?
Irwin - Right from the beginning before I started my Line, I always knew the type of skin-care and cosmetics that I wanted to have. I worked with the chemist manufacturer before the Line came out for purchase...and didn't conclude until I was satisfied and saw that the products were the way I had percieved them to be!
AMM - How does your professional background contribute to the making of I Line?
Irwin - In working as a Make-Up Artist for the Georgette Klinger Salon/Spa, having done the make-up on the set of two Columbia University graduate films and photo shoots...I have learned what works - and what does not work - and which cosmetics get the job done quickly and effectively. I took the knowledge which I came to learn over the years, and went to several different chemists before I was satisfied that I was going to get what I knew was a professional and universal Cosmetic Line!
AMM - Does I Line work the same for all skin types and colors?
Irwin - Yes, my line is definitely universal...transends color, gender and all skin types! My products are as good for the porcelain fair-haired Men as they are for the distinguished Man of color.
AMM - Can your customers expect to see a difference almost immediately when they start using your products?
Irwin - Absolutely! My products are made of only the most natural of ingredients...Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, Green Tea, Chamomile, Grape Seed Extract, Ginseng, Matrixyl and Vitamin C. The Creme-to Powder Foundation has a built-in neutralizer immediately working to hide imperfections and cover dark circles under the eyes creating flawlwss even-toned natural looking skin!
AMM - For those guys that are "blessed" with great skin and hair, is there any need for them to own I Line products?
Irwin - Even for men with great skin; you must always maintain and protect the skin against the exposure to environmental elements, which attacks the skin's collagen layer and prematurely ages and damages the skin, resulting in fine lines and wrinkles, to loss of elasticity. It is extremely important to maintain healthy skin and to keep your appearance looking terrific and youthful!
AMM - Can a man achieve that " healthy glow" using your products when he hasn't been exercising, watching what he eats, drinking plenty of water, and getting enough rest?
Irwin - Yes. Let's face it...we all lead active, busy lives...and we don't always have the time to exercise, have a perfect diet or get enough sleep! By using natural ingredients on your face and body...you are actually replenishing your skin and helping to fight the signs of aging. It is about being healthy on the inside...and looking and feeling great on the outside. And when you want that healthy and radiant sun-glow quickly...my bronzers will do it for you! But always remember, apply my bronzers lightly over the forehead...down the bridge of the nose...chin...and go straight across the cheeks...not up the cheek...to beginning of ear to get that square jaw-line look necessary for masculine confidence!
AMM - Can stress defeat the effort of the daily usage of your products?
Irwin - Definitely not. The daily usage of my products will actually defeat the effects that stress can cause on your skin! Take some time out...even ten minutes a day...to relax and focus positive energy to help in healing your body and mind. My "Muscle Rub" is perfect to soothe sore muscles and joint pain! AMM - How is I Line different from all other cosmetic lines for you?

AMM - After using I Line for a period of time, will these products continue to deliver the same results or does one need time-out?
Irwin - I Line products will continue to deliver results...improving your skin with each application. As with most of my products...a little goes a long way. Always start out light handed...and apply more in areas where you feel you need it. This way...every application is a fresh and new experience!
AMM - Do you recommend using your products exclusively and not alternate with others? Is there a danger for someone to alternate product lines?
Irwin - While there is no danger in using my product Line while using others...I strongly recommend using I Line Procucts exclusively...as there are definitely more pigments in my line, rather than the products having less pigmentation and more water...which is why a little goes a long way with my Line!
I know what is in my Line...believe in it strongly...and I like my clients to have knowledge of this and to know that they are getting the best products available!
AMM - How do you go about choosing your spokes model for I Line?
Irwin - I always felt that the perfect Male to endorse my exciting Line could only be the Electrifying Recording Artist ARI GOLD!
Ari Gold has a Charismatic Talent and an Exquisite masculine Charm that illuminates class, style and character; it is only natural for him to be the spokes model and represent the "I Line Man". Ari also has the great look and skin we've discussed earlier...but he always maintains his body and looks fabulously well!

AMM - With the name Ari Gold, there are the music, the voice, the talent, and especially the face. At what poing in your singing career have you noticed your appearance also playing an important role in your success?
Ari Gold - Well appearances always played a part in my career cause when I was a child in show business I was told that I was too ethnic to be on camera. But as I got older I started getting asked to have my photo taken by different photographers. So I sort of realized that I have my own look and I can celebrate that. I feel very grateful for my good Jewish genes!
AMM - Growing up, did you have to deal with any skin problem?
Ari Gold - Not really...like anyone I have good skin days and not such good skin days, but I never had any major issues.
AMM - Would you consider yourself athletic as well as artistic?
Ari Gold - I love to walk, run, dance do yoga, workout...so I am definitely active! But I would say I'm way more artsy than athletic.
AMM - What are your rules for staying in shape?
Ari Gold - Well I go to the gym at least 3 times a week, try to do some yoga to balance out the weight training and in New York I walk everywhere...from the upper west side to lower east side...for real! As far as diet goes, I actually like the way most healthy food tastes...Japanese is my favorite. But that doesn't mean I dont sometimes like some fast food or some good dessert! For me it's less about dieting and more about just being aware of what I am eating and putting into my body...like ..oh I just had that heavy fatty meal, perhaps the next one should be lighter..
AMM - Well, anytine you want to walk to Miami let me know! Are you "camera-ready" at all times?
Ari Gold - I certainly don't feel camera-ready all the time! But a good photographer can take a bad day and turn it around!
AMM -With your current hair style, I don't suppose you get a bad hair day. But how long do you usually take to get ready before you head out the door?
Ari Gold - That varies drastically! Some days I'll just put on some jeans, leave on the t-shirt I wore to sleep, put on a baseball hat and I'm out the door! If I have to feel like a fabulous pop star, it may take longer...I have had fashion crisis where I feel like I don't like any of my clothes.
AMM - The story of my high school days. What would be the one thing that you change about yourself?
Ari Gold - I always strive for improvement and progress...and I can sometimes be a bit hard on myself...but I wouldn't change a thing.
AMM - What does it mean to be the I Line Man?
Ari Gold - It's an honor! Who knew a gay Jewish boy from the Bronx like me could represent a men's cosmetics line! And I can honestly say I love and use the products...there is nothing wrong with a man who likes to pamper and take care of himself!
